I just recently migrated all of my code notes over to bear.app. I briefly try to have all my code notes in Evernote but because Evernote did not have any code highlighting or code support it made taking code notes difficult on Evernote. Also, sometime Evernote would change the format of my code and even add change some special charters like the double quotation mark. For example “ ” vs. "", I would randomly find my code snippets with the wrong quotation marks causing hours of troubleshooting.

I mainly use bear.app because it has a clean design and code snippet/code highlighting support. The hashtag system seems ok, and I don't use it much. I do like the hotkeys to add header by pressing (command + option + number).
